In July 2026, Switzerland will present its third country report on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) at the UN headquarters in New York. This report is based on a comprehensive review, which will be conducted by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) on behalf of the Federal Council in the first half of 2025.
As key players in sustainable development, the cantons, municipalities and drivers (business, financial services, science, civil society) are invited to submit their assessment of the current status of Switzerland's implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Submissions will be made from January to May 2025 via the SDGital2030 portal.
To kick things off, information events will be held in Bern at the end of January: On 28.01.2025 for subnational stakeholders (cantons and municipalities) and on 30.01.2025 for stakeholders from business, the financial sector, academia and civil society. Interested parties can register for participation by e-mail to sts.awn.agenda.2030@eda.admin.ch by 21 January 2025.
