Regional Rapid Response Teams (RRRT) for a strengthened decentralized Rescue System in Armenia (phase I)

Progetto concluso

SDC has a long standing collaboration with the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), which showed notable progress in the sphere of Disaster and Risk Reduction (DRR). Considering the existing capacities on the level of light rescue and the country's risk profile, important needs especially at the regional level still persist. The project's overall goal is to strengthen the decentralized rescue system through improved response capacities of the responsible governmental institutions.

The MES is responsible for all types of disasters, it includes the Armenian Rescue Service (ARS) with central and regional branches and the Crisis Management Academy (CMA) for trainings.
