A special screening of the documentary “Scream for Me Sarajevo”, directed by Tarik Hodzic, winner of the Human Rights Award, the Special Jury Prize of the Competition Programme – Documentary Film and the Audience Award for the Best Documentary Film at the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival took place on Tuesday evening, in a crowded Meeting Point Cinema.

The Swiss Ambassador to BiH, Andrea Rauber Saxer welcomed the public for this exceptional event.

“We must speak up and loudly demand peace, a decent life and a world where nobody first asks us what ethnicity we are or which party we vote for. Sometimes a whisper is not enough to pass on this message, sometimes we must scream it. We scream for a normal life, to do normal things like going to a concert, going to a movie or just normal things like going to work every day.

The message of the film is also that everything is possible. So I hope that we will all leave this movie theater with a glimmer of hope and confidence inside us”, stated Ambassador Rauber Saxer.

The screening was followed by a Q&A session with the screenwriter Jasenko Pasic, the director Tarik Hodzic and the producer Adnan Cuhara.

This event was co-organized by Sarajevo Film Festival and the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who continue their years-long cooperation in promoting documentaries that tackle different aspects of human rights.
