Synopsis
Ursli and his parents work hard during the summer on the alp. As summer comes to an end, it is time for the family to make their way down to the village, transporting their harvest by horse carriage. When an accident occurs, they lose all their goods and the family is forced to go into debt with the village's wealthy shopkeeper. Ursli's world collapses as he is forced to give his goat Zila to the rich grocer's son Roman. When he also receives the smallest bell for the "Chalandamarz" procession, he plunges into a great adventure to get the big bell out of the icy Maiensäss.
