RIDM is back for its 27th edition, from November 20 to December 1, 2024. For its opening, the festival has chosen Preparations for a Miracle by Swiss director Tobias Nölle, recently acclaimed at Visions du Réel.
This documentary traces the arrival of an android, from a future where humanity no longer exists, in pre-apocalyptic Germany. Through its observations and interactions, the film explores the challenges posed by technology and the exploitation of natural resources, offering a unique reflection on the future of humanity.
The Canadian premiere will be held on Wednesday, November 20 at the Théâtre Outremont in the presence of filmmaker Tobias Nölle. A second public screening will take place during the festival.
