Embassy holds 2nd Swiss Business Lunch for 2019

On 9 October, Ambassador Philipp Stalder hosted the second Swiss business lunch at the Swiss Residence. Besides the Swiss cuisine and informal networking opportunities, the renowned legal scholar, Professor Henry Kwasi Prempeh spoke about the framework of the Ghanaian economy.

More than 30 founders, CEO’s and representatives of Swiss businesses operating in Ghana followed the invitation of Ambassador Stalder. In his address to the guests, the head of the mission underlined the interest the Embassy takes in the activities of Swiss companies in Ghana, and the readiness to support them within the given mandate of the Swiss representations abroad. 

In addition, the guests received valuable insights on the nature of the Ghanaian economy from the Executive Director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Professor Henry Kwasi Prempeh. In his speech, the renowned legal scholar pointed to the particularly tight relationship between the political and the economic sphere from 1957 since today. Professor Prempeh also emphasised the importance of political reforms in view of the implementation of the “Ghana Beyond Aid”-Agenda.
