State Secretary Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch on economic mission in Hungary

On the occasion of the general assembly for the 20th anniversary of the Swisscham Hungary Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch, Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Director of the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate, together with a business delegation was on official visit to Budapest on the 4th and 5th of May 2015.

The anniversary of the Swisscham Hungary is also part the friendship program called “Swiss-Hungarian friendships: culture and traditions in the heart of Europe”.

During her visit in Budapest the State Secretary Ineichen-Fleisch met the Hungarian Minister for Economic Affairas Mihály Varga with whom she participated at the general assembly of the Swisscham Hungary. She met the Vice Foreign Minister László Szabó and the Vice State Secretary of Economic Affairs Áron Márk Lenner. Furthermore, she gave a “Carl Lutz lecture” at the German-speaking Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) about “Switzerland’s relations with the European Union”. And she also visited a project which is designed to increase the security measures for the access to Hungarian court buildings and electronic data proceeding. The project is financed by the Swiss contribution to reduce the economic and social disparities in an enlarged European Union.

The State Secretary invited Vice Foreign Minister László Szabó to an official visit in Switzerland.
