Eco week opening in Eger

The biodiversity project “Widening Green Kindergarten and Ecoschool movements”, a project funded by the Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme, organised its first roadshow event in Eger at the Eszterházy Károly College Practice School on 21 April 2015.

One of the biodiversity projects “Widening Green Kindergarten and Ecoschool movements” funded by the Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme with CHF 1 million, organised its first roadshow event in Eger at the Eszterházy Károly College Practice School on 21 April 2015.

The event was part of the Earth Day Festival in the town – a series of programmes with round table discussions, surveys, selective waste collection and other activities to improve environmental awareness.

The event was opened by Benno Stauffer, Consul of the Swiss Embassy in front of an audience of approx. 100 persons including the pupils and teachers of the school. The event was also attended by Ildikó Adler Marton, Vice Mayor of Eger and Kàlmàn Liptai, Rector of the College. After the welcoming speeches, Mr Stauffer was asked to hand over prizes to the winners of the “Water in Arts” competition.
