The investment of 5 million CHF allows Fraisa to increase the utilization period of the cutting tools produced in Sárospatak. Furthermore, it considerably enhances the Hungary’s location within the Fraisa group. Thanks to EU subsidies of 690 million HUF (49% of the total  investments) the project was implemented in this structurally underdeveloped region where Fraisa now employs 145 people.

The Chairman of the Fraisa board and co-owner of the Fraisa Group, Josef Maushart, described the investment as a “milestone for the FRAISA Group” because it allows Fraisa to make its production more flexible and cost-optimized. He interpreted the EU subsidies as “a capital act of European solidarity”.

Since 2008 Switzerland also has been participating in various projects in the region. The Swiss contribution is a central element of Switzerland’s european policy.
