With some 50 million copies in print, Johanna Spyri’s Heidi is probably the biggest Swiss bestseller of all time. Many lm adaptations have been made including Japanese anime lms, but the world is ready for another version of this vintage, yet inspiring tale.
The movie is directed by Alain Gsponer, featuring Swiss actor Bruno Ganz (grandfather) and actress Anuk Steffen (Heidi).
