ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne is regarded as one of the world leading platforms for academic and creative undertakings.
Using 3D printing technology to produce items on site, the "ECAL Digital Market" shows a new vision of digital manufacturing while o ering functional and well-designed everyday objects created by Master Product Design students as well as by a selection of ECAL-related designers (faculty members and alumni). The project looks into the possibilities of production on demand and highlights the role of the designer in this new production cycle.
