Switzerland is deeply saddened about the loss of lives, affected people and severe damages caused by the border conflict between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and extends its solidarity and sympathy to all people directly affected. Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased ones, with wounded and the residents who have lost property. Switzerland acknowledges the Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan efforts in conflict resolution as well as response which, with regards to the conflict, resulted in life-saving, pre-evacuations and working in the response. Switzerland is further monitoring the situation in view of potential additional needs for support.
