Call for Expression of Interest - Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme

The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD)/Government of Nepal (GoN) is going to implement Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme (NASDP) Phase I for coming 4 years starting from September 2015 and will end in August 2019. The programme aims to support the Ministry of Agricultural Development to promote and strengthen decentralised rural advisory services system (Research and extension). The programme will contribute to systemic changes in the decentralised service delivery system of Nepal that will support to improve the livelihood of farming households; especially female-headed households and farmers from disadvantaged groups by increasing their farm income, food security, resilience and social inclusion. In order to assist GoN to implement NASDP, an Implementing Agency (IA) will be selected through a two staged selective international competitive tendering process.      

In this context, as a first step of the tendering process, the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal invites Participant Applications (Expressions of Interest-EoI) from the registered and qualified national and international organisations with an interest to act as an Implementing Agency to technically assist the GoN for the implementation of NASDP. The detailed information on participant documentation is uploaded in the website www.simap.ch.

No information will be given by telephone. Any question can be made by 16.03.2015 anonymously in the forum space at www.simap.ch. Questions submitted late cannot be answered. Answers will be published on www.simap.ch by 27.03.2015. The potential applicants are themselves responsible for downloading the answers from SIMAP and for taking them into consideration in the preparation of the participant applications.

The complete participant application shall be submitted by 07.04.2015 at the latest in the following address. Please note the time for the submission in Nepal as 09:00 am to 12:30 pm and 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

NOTE: The conclusion of the Contract with the selected bidder for Phase 1 is subject to the signature of the Bilateral Agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland.
