The novel "1979" of the Swiss author Christian Kracht will be translated into Norwegian by March 2018. The novel will be available in the Pelikanen forlag. The homosexual leading character of the novel travels to Iran together with his ex-boyfriend during the Iranian Revolution of 1979. The ex-boyfriend dies after a drug excess and the leading character is encouraged to make a journey to Tibet where he is arrested by the Chinese army and ends up in a penal camp.
