The Swiss artist Dieter Roth lived in the small town of Seyðisfjörður, on the east coast of Iceland during the latter period of his life. During this time he created a slide installation, which was a form of portrait of the town. For 2019 Skaftfell will re-stage this work in the building where it was first shown, and consider the relationship between its local relevance and its place within a wider art historical context, as well as exploring Roth's legacy within present day contemporary art.
