In his opening speech Sheikh Saif al Maskari, Chairman of the Board described the relationship between the Sultanate and Switzerland as ‘deep-rooted and constantly growing’. Furthermore the Chairman of the Board mentioned that the establishment of the association was intended to enhance bilateral relations in the fields of economics, culture, tourism, art, and investment. A stimulating presentation about novel information and communication technologies being applied to the economy, trade, and to social relations by Luca de Carli, Vice-President of the Association, skillfully completed the evening. To conclude the celebrations, Omani and Swiss companies which have supported the OSFA since its creation and other individuals and institutions, including the Swiss Embassy in Oman, were rewarded for their help during the foundation phase of the OSFA in 2016.
