At the first national competition for best practices in local governments, the first place in the category „Accountability and rule of law“ went to the municipality of Vlasotince. The reward was givent to a dog shelter that was opened last year.
The competition has been launched by the Ministry of Public Adminstration and Local Self-Government together with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, and supported through the Swiss development program - Swiss PRO.
