He pointed out that the current developments are positive and that there is an increased interest of Swiss companies in investments in capital infrastructure projects and the ongoing works on the Belgrade-Niš high-speed railway. Ambassador Schmid welcomes the visit of Minister Vesic to Switzerland where he will meet Federal Councillor Abert Rösti and the representatives of Stadler Rail and Swiss SBB. He said that the visit of Minister Vesic was just in time ahead the next meeting of the Joint Economic Committee in Switzerland on 17th June which offers an excellent opportunity to exchange views and discuss potentials of future bilateral cooperation.

Minister Vesic stated that Swiss companies are always welcome in Serbia and emphasized the outstanding cooperation with Stadler Rail and other Swiss companies running businesses in Serbia.

Both interlocutors stressed the significance of the positive developments and agreed to continue and intensify bilateral cooperation of mutual interest.
