On the occasion of the XVI Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel mondo the Embassy together with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute organises a conference about how architecture meets the needs and constraints of culture, traditions, local lifestyles and geography in Italy, Sweden and Switzerland.
The Swiss architect Mierta Lazzarini (Mierta und Kurt Lazzarini Architekten), the Italian architect Andrea Zamboni (Zamboni Associati) and the Swedish architect Dan Hallemar (Publisher, former Editor in Chief of the Swedish Review of Architecture) will discuss the various means of interaction between architecture and the surrounding space, bringing their different experiences from each country.

Mierta Lazzarini-Kaiser (Dipl. Innenarchitektin IED) was born 1964 in Zuoz, Switzerland. In 1985 she completed her Matriculation Examination in trade, and worked after this as a marketing assistant 1985-90 in Zürich.
1990-1993 Creation and presentation of her own jewellery design collection in Rome.
Between 1994 and 1998 Mierta studied interior design in Milan and has been running an office, Mierta und Kurt Lazzarini Architekten, together with Swiss architect Kurt Lazzarini since 1998.
Andrea Zamboni, (Ph.D Architecture): architect, studies at Faculty of Architecture at University of Ferrara and Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio (CH) where he graduated in 2001 with Peter Zumthor and Vittorio Savi.
Andrea has a Ph. D. in Architecture at Bologna University, and is Adjunct Professor of Architectural Design at Department of Architecture, University of Bologna.
Author of many research projects, curatorial projects, essays and publications about Architecture, Heritage, Archives, Urban design, Sustainability and Smart City. Has been member of juries in national and international architectural prizes and competitions.
Dan Hallemar, is a landscape architect, journalist and editor. Up until the spring of 2016 he was editor in chief for the Swedish Review of Architecture, and is currently working as publisher at the Swedish publishing company Arkitektur Förlag.
Dan has been writing about architecture and city planning for specialist press and daily newspapers since 1997. At the Swedish Architecture and Design Center there is currently an exhibition about housing: “Housing. Now. Then.” curated by Hallemar.
