Trade Office of Swiss Industries will join over 100 organizations for the very first time to participate in the Taiwan Reading Festival, hosted by National Central Library at Liberty Square on Saturday, 4th December from 10:00 to 17:00. The Festival brings together local government agencies, libraries, universities, publishers, schools, museums, cultural institutions and foreign representative offices to showcase books each (country) recommends, in an attempt to encourage young people and family to discover the pleasure of reading and connect with the world.
Our booth will showcase a few Swiss classics in multiple languages as well as books by Swiss authors translated into Chinese. With a theme featuring Schellen-Ursli by Alois Carigiet, children will get to learn about the tradition of Chalandamarz by coloring, chiming bells, playing games and reading stories.
