Our compatriot NICOLAS PARTY presents his first solo exhibit in Canada, at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
L'heure mauve brings together watercolours, pastels and sculptures by Party, including about 20 recent works yet to be exhibited, in dialogue with artworks from the MMFA’s collection. Featuring a series of large-scale murals, the Museum’s galleries provide the canvas onto which this artist expresses the full range of his art. While both subtle and whimsical, Nicolas Party’s landscapes, portraits and still lifes illustrate the complex ties that bind humans to nature.
