Hintergrund |
To improve the livability and the resilience of municipalities to climate-change, compact, climate-sensitive urban development is an important factor for economic and social development. The importance of climate change in the urban development is increasingly recognized by the Kosovo government, but implementation is still lagging behind. Additionally, national and local institutions lack the instruments that are necessary for a targeted orientation of urban development towards the requirements of climate resilience. |
Ziele |
The project objective is to improve the institutional and planning framework for a climate-sensitive, compact and resilient urban development in Kosovo at the national level and in three selected municipalities by the implementation of demonstration projects, in line with EU guidelines. |
