Switzerland's commitment to combat sexual violence

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence is an annual international campaign. It starts on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and lasts until December 10th, the Human Rights Day. Activists from the Women's Global Leadership Institute launched the campaign first in 1991. Meanwhile, more than 6000 organizations from 187 countries worldwide call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. Switzerland equally supports its partner countries in the fight against gender-specific violence.
