The Fribourg International Film Festival presents a programme laced with humour and notion(s) of freedom. New this year: All the directors participating in the short film competition are invited to meet their counterparts from the other sections.The SDC's long-standing partnership with the festival is part of its commitment to support artists from the South and the East.
With some 130 from 57 countries, the Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) will celebrate the best of all genres of cinema from 21 to 28 March 2015. The SDC has been a long-standing partner of the FIFF as part of its cultural programme to promote artists from the South and the East.
The centrepiece of the festival, the international competition, will continue to feature a selection of the most innovative and moving films currently being made. The short-film section, which was successfully created in a competition last year, will screen some of the gems of film-making from Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe in three programmes. New this year: The short-film directors are invited to Fribourg to present their films and meet their counterparts from the other sections.
