Georgia will feature prominently at this year's Visions du Réel International Film Festival. Fifteen documentaries and a discussion day devoted to Georgian cinema will provide an opportunity to discover the creative force that characterizes it.

The SDC supports the Visions du Réel Film Festival in Nyon, in particular the "Focus" section, which showcases documentary films from countries of the South and East where the SDC is active. In 2015, Georgia will be the "Focus" feature country.

Fifteen Georgian documentaries will be presented in the course of the festival, and the "Focus Talk" day (Tuesday 21 April 2015, open to the public, free of charge) will present an opportunity to explore the contemporary landscape of Georgian cinema. Six films currently in the making will be presented at the festival by their directors and producers. A prize of CHF 10,000 will be awarded by the visions sud est fund to the most promising of these six film projects.
