National Forestry Programme
The Goal is to contribute for ‘improved livelihoods and resilience of poor men, women and children in Nepal’. The Purpose is ‘maximise the contribution of Nepal’s forestry sector to inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction and tackling climate change‘. Coverage will increase from 4 districts (current Swiss coverage) to 61 districts (out of 75 nationally) with full-fledged focused activities in 35 over the next 10 years. Focus is to expand poverty reduction and environmental outcomes of community forestry nationally through wider reach and deeper engagement at different levels.
