Protecting children, women and youth affected by conflict through local actors in Borno State

• Most  vulnerable  women,  men,  girls,  and boys  among  IDPs,  returnees,  and  host communities,  including:  Separated  and unaccompanied  children,  Children  with disabilities, Out-of-school children, Married adolescent girls and young mothers 
• GBV survivors  
• Parents and caregivers 
• Religious and community leaders  
• Community-Based  Child  Protection Committees 
• Government  social  welfare  and  child caseworkers 

Outcome  1:  Improved  access  to  inclusive and  durable  Child  Protection,  Education, and GBV services for vulnerable individuals affected by insurgency and violence. 

Outcome 2: Strengthened community-based structures  and  stakeholders  creating  a sustainable, inclusive, and culturally relevant child  protection  system  that  effectively addresses CP and GBV within a supportive social and policy environment. 

Outcome  3: Enhanced  capability of implementing partners to deliver sustainable CP and GBV initiatives. 

Principaux résultats attendus:  

• Community-based protection system strengthened Total direct beneficiaries targeted: 20’392 (below figures do not include all of the direct beneficiaries)
• 2’400 children accessing protection services and 1’600 women and girls receiving GBV  services through a case management system 
•  3’840 children enrolled and retained in formal schools 
• 432 vulnerable youth enrolled in vocational training  
• 144  community-based  CP  committee  members trained 
• 2’880 parents and caregivers trained in family strengthening and positive parenting. 
• 400 girls and women receiving dignity kits.  
• 376 social workers trained on GBV management 

In addition, 500’000 people reached through community-led awareness raising on CP and GBV risks.
