Contesto Colombia is far from meeting the goal of being a mine-free country in 2021 (Ottawa Convention). Ongoing armed violence and use of APM/UXO/IED by different illegal armed groups led to a tripling of the number of survivors/victims in 2018. In rural areas, humanitarian and protection conditions of indigenous, afro-Colombian and peasant communities have deteriorated. The State's response remains insufficient in such areas.
Obiettivi Contribute to peace consolidation, early recovery and socioeconomic development of communities affected by APM/IED/UXO in Cauca y Nariño
Gruppi target Direct beneficiaries: 48.049 personas (26.375 M + 21.674 H) from indigenous, afro-descendant and peasant communities of 7 municipalities belonging to 2 departments (Cauca and Nariño), whereas 57% are female and 43% male.
Effetti a medio termine

Outcome 1: Vulnerable communities (indigenous, peasant and afro-descendant) affected by APM/IED/UXO inhabit safer environments and favorable for inclusive local socio-economic development in both departments.

Outcome 2: Survivors and indirect victims affected by APM/IED/UXO and persons with disabilities improve their living conditions through access to services (protection, health, legal assistance and psychosocial support) and advocacy to sustain such access.
