The exhibition "Displaced" allows visitors to put themselves in the shoes of refugees and to get some idea of what it is like to be forced to flee one's home.

As part of the Democracy without Borders initiative, on 5 August 2018 the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will organise a screening of 'Laila at the Bridge' at the Locarno Film Festival, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of 'Civil society and film-making in Afghanistan'.
The SDC supports the Open Doors section at the Locarno Festival. Each year, the section focuses on a different region in the world where opportunities for making films and promoting culture are very limited.
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation organizes on 4 July 2018 in Geneva an event on small-scale and artisanal mining for sustainable development: opportunities and risks for sustainable development.
“Developing urban and rural areas sustainably - Two of Switzerland’s priorities in Africa” SDC and SECO food security efforts are the focus of this year's conference on 29 June 2018.
