Le Pool d’experts pour la promotion civile de la paix (PEP) choisit, en fonction des priorités thématiques et géographiques de la Suisse, les postes vacants au sein des organisations internationales spécialisées dans le domaine de la paix et des droits de l’homme auxquelles il souhaite affecter ses expert(e)s. Le PEP organise des entretiens d’embauche et sélectionne les candidat(e)s susceptibles d’être engagés par les organisations internationales concernées.
Le DFAE finance la mission et établit, une fois obtenu le feu vert de l’organisation, le contrat de travail de la personne sélectionnée pour le poste. L’envoi d’experts auprès d’organisations internationales est régi par l’ordonnance sur le personnel affecté à la promotion de la paix, au renforcement des droits de l’homme et à l’aide humanitaire (OPers-PDHH).
