Permanent Representation of Switzerland to the United Nations and to the other international organizations, Vienna

The Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the OSCE, the United Nations and the International Organisations in Vienna represents Swiss interests and positions at the UN institutions based in this city in line with Switzerland's foreign policy objectives and priorities. It provides a line of communication between the Swiss authorities in Bern and the UN institutions in Vienna and coordinates discussions, supports Swiss delegations and establishes contacts with decision-makers within the UN. In addition, it identifies other opportunities for Switzerland to participate in projects carried out by the UN institutions based in Vienna.

Office on Drugs and Crime

Switzerland supports various projects of the UN Office in Vienna in the fields of human security and the rule of law.


International Atomic Energy Agency

Switzerland, which is a founding member and currently member of the Board of Governors, participates in many different ways in the IAEA – a UN specialised agency.


Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty

Switzerland has ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and actively participates in the work of the Preparatory Commission for the CTBT Organization (CTBTO) and its working groups.
