Regional Development Initiatives in Gorlice and Nowy Sącz
The two counties Gorlicki and Nowosądecki suffer from high unemployment. This project aims at increasing the social and economic potential of this region through activities such as supporting local entrepreneurship, fostering food and agricultural processing industry and developing human resources with training activities.

Background |
The two counties Gorlicki and Nowosądecki (total 306\'600 inhabitants) in the eastern part of Małopolska Region suffer from relatively high unemployment compared to national average. Małopolska Region has mainly small farms and as well in the two counties, most of the inhabitants are farmers or working in enterprises related to agricultural production. The area\'s main potentials are valuable natural resources (attracting considerable tourism) and a diversified agricultural production. |
