The programme is focused on the improvement of quality of infrastructure and services provided in social care institutions in the Malopolskie Voivodeship in order to enhance living conditions of residents of these institutions. The programme targets elderly people, mentally and physically disabled. as well as youths deprived of appropriate parental assistance and directly contributes to promote social inclusion of disadvantaged groups.

Renaturation de la rivière Raba en Małopolskie (Petite-Pologne)

La vallée de la Raba, dans le sud de la Pologne, était autrefois un espace de détente de proximité attrayant, d’une grande valeur écologique. Mais les aménagements réalisés dans les années 1960 et 1970 ont modifié l’écosystème fluvial. À l’époque, on pensait pouvoir mieux réguler les eaux de la Raba en la canalisant et en construisant un système de digues dans la partie amont du cours d’eau. Aujourd’hui, on connaît les effets néfastes de ces interventions: les crues causent d’importants dommages matériels, les peuplements de poissons sont décimés et la végétation naturelle a pratiquement disparu dans le lit de la rivière. La Suisse soutient la renaturation de deux sections de la rivière, contribuant ainsi à améliorer l’écosystème.
