The two countries have signed agreements on double taxation, air traffic, and the reciprocal protection of investments. The Swiss embassy in Caracas, Venezuela represents Swiss interests in Trinidad and Tobago.
In 2022 Switzerland imported CHF 600,000 in goods – primarily chemicals – from Trinidad and Tobago. It exported products to the value of CHF 6.1 million to Trinidad and Tobago, mainly comprising pharmaceutical products and machinery.
Researchers who are citizens of Trinidad and Tobago can apply to the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships.
