FDFA recommendations for travelling abroad

Travel responsibly and take time to plan and organise your trip. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) recommends that you download the Travel Admin app, register, and enter your trips abroad before leaving for your holiday.

The FDFA Helpline is the single point of contact for enquiries about consular services.

Current situation

Myanmar has implemented various measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. We recommend to all Swiss nationals who are currently in Myanmar to follow the information, recommendations and measures of the Myanmar authorities.

Public gatherings are limited to 400 people. Health protocols, such as the requirement to wear facemasks in public, practice personal hygiene, and maintain physical distance are still in effect.

A nationwide curfew is in place and varies on location. In Yangon and Naypyidaw, the curfew is from 00:00 to 04:00 am. In most other parts of Myanmar, the curfew is reportedly from 10:00 pm to 04:00 am.
