La recrudescence des violences armées qui sévissent à l'Est de la RDC a occassionné un afflux de réfugiés vers le Burundi. Ces réfugiés sont en besoin d'assistance en protection, vivres et non vivres, abri, eau, hygiène et soins de santé. Ils arrivent dans des conditions précaires et extrêmement vulnérables. Le Burundi, en situation socio-économique et sécuritaire difficile, n'a pas les moyens de les accueillir sans aide internationale. Cette contribution humanitaire vise à améliorer de façon urgente les conditions de vie des réfugiés congolais.

Improper waste management is widespread in North Macedonia and a pressing environmental issue threatening public health and environment. To address it Switzerland engages with Pakomak to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and transparency of its packaging waste recovery system1 through digitalization and modernization of packaging waste selection2, collection, sorting, transportation and recycling. These efforts will significantly decrease the amount of waste disposed in landfills and contribute to the Green Agenda.

WOCAT, global knowledge platform initiated by Switzerland, documents, shares and supports the implementation of such practices.
