Annual membership contribution to the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN) for the period 2025-2026

MOPAN, that was co-founded by Switzerland, contributes to a more effective multilateral system, which is a Swiss priority, as outlined in its International Cooperation Strategy 2025-2028. It is the only institution offering regular independent performance assessments of major multilateral organisations (MOs). MOPAN assessments support Switzerland in effectively steering the MOs. They also reduce the individual review burden of Member States and donors of MOs.

HEKS: Support Conflict-affected IDPs in Gaza

Through this support, Switzerland is helping meet urgent humanitarian needs of the civilian population in the Gaza Strip who has been displaced and is now living in makeshift shelters. The intervention provides kits to improve shelter conditions, offers assistance to help cover essential needs, and delivers targeted mental health and psychological support.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) works to address questions related to population and development, with an emphasis on sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and youth. The International Land Coa-lition (ILC) is a global network of organisations working on people centred land governance in over 85 countries. ILC's vision is a world where everyone has secure access to land and natural resources. This contribution aims at supporting the Regional Refugee Response Plan and Government of Egypt’s combined efforts to respond to the arrival of refugees in the aftermath of the outbreak of conflict on the 15.4.2023 in Sudan. UNHCR’s emergency response focuses on the identification and reception of the most vulnerable new arrivals at prioritized points of entry, with the provision of life-saving support and specialized protection services.

SDC funding to ICRC operations allows the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. In line with the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles, Switzerland recognizes the necessity of predictable and flexible funding to respond to changing needs in humanitarian crises.
