Disoccupazione e sottoccupazione sono tra i maggiori problemi di sviluppo nei Paesi partner della DSC. La povertà a livello globale potrà essere ridotta in maniera duratura e gli Obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile dell’ONU potranno essere realizzati soltanto se un numero maggiore di persone avrà accesso a un’occupazione produttiva e adeguatamente remunerata, ovvero al reddito.

Al settore privato, quale motore della crescita economica, spetta un ruolo chiave per lo sviluppo sostenibile.

Impiego dei giovani

La formazione professionale dei giovani va adattata alle esigenze del mercato del lavoro.

Sviluppo del settore finanzario

Attraverso la promozione dell’accesso ai servizi finanziari da parte di economie domestiche povere, contadini e piccole e medie imprese, è possibile migliorare la loro partecipazione alla vita economica e ridurre la loro vulnerabilità in caso di crisi.

Bangladesh Agricultural and Disaster Insurance Programme

01.01.2027 - 31.12.2028

Farmers will improve their productivity and resilience by gaining access to client-oriented and affordable agricultural insurance products. Insurance-cover will allow farmers to invest in higher-return activities, access credit and to recover faster when affected by weather, diseases and disasters. By building capacity of and facilitating coordination and linkages among key stakeholders, inclusive insurance markets will be developed to eventually cater for several million farmers.


UN Joint Programme on Youth Employment

01.01.2025 - 31.12.2028

Cambodia is the most youthful country in South East Asia with more than 50% of the population below 25 years. The key challenge of Cambodia is to create decent and productive employment opportunities for new entrants to the labour market. With its contribution, SDC addresses the challenge by enabling young people to have access to skills and quality education and employment whilst promoting rightful and decent working conditions.


Horn of Africa: One Health Units for Humans, Environment, Animals and Livelihoods

The project aims at improving the well-being of targeted pastoral communities challenged with inadequate access to basic health/veterinary services and environmental conditions in Somalia, Ethiopia and Northern Kenya through integrated health service delivery for both pastoralists and their livestock. The project will contribute to stability and vulnerability’s reduction of citizens in the region, thereby reducing their displacement/migration which is in the interest of Switzerland and the international community.


Programme d’appui à la commercialisation du bétail en Afrique de l’Ouest

Dans la région ouest africaine, le secteur de l’élevage est une grande opportunité d’intégration économique et de création de richesses pour les populations et les pays. En complément au soutien au secteur dans les pays prioritaires, ce programme vise le renforcement de la chaine de valeur régionale des produits animaux au profit des éleveurs. L’accent est mis sur le renforcement du secteur privé et l’amélioration des politiques et pratiques régionales d’échanges en  produits animaux.


Blue Peace: Unlocking the value of transboundary, multisectoral and transgenerational investments

In order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals government efforts do not suffice, large private capitals deployed towards development are needed. Switzerland has a comparative advantage as innovative finance hub. Building on this, SDC contributes to the development of innovative financial products that enable transboundary, multisectoral and transgenerational investments with aim to contribute to sustainable development and peace.


Global Governance on Food Security

01.01.2023 - 31.12.2024

Switzerland will strengthen its commitment for an inclusive and effective global architecture for food security and nutrition. Therefore, the SDC/GPFS will maintain the focus of its attention on  the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), which is the most inclusive policy platform for food security-related issues. The second focus will be on the coordination role of the UN system at interagency and policy levels. The participation of farmers’ organisations in country-based public investment programmes will also be facilitated, in line with the above-mentioned interventions.


Promoting Social Entrepreneurship in selected countries

This regional program with national implementation components supports Social Entrepreneurs (SEs) contributing to solving societal and environmental problems with a market-based approach. The contribution identifies and supports selected SEs and helps them to reach out to the poor. It serves the creation of employment and income for low-income households improving their livelihoods. SEs use innovative ideas and business models that are well-aligned with SDC’s objectives of poverty reduction.


Financement des fonds agricoles nationaux du Bénin (FinAgri)

Au Bénin, il n’existe pas de dispositif national pour le financement du secteur agricole (agriculteurs, éleveurs, artisans et entreprises agricoles). Par la présente initiative, la DDC veut soutenir l’Etat béninois et le secteur privé dans la mise en place des dispositifs communs et pérennes de financement du secteur. Le but est de renforcer la productivité, la compétitivité des productions agricoles et la résilience des systèmes de productions aux effets des variations climatiques.


Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) – “Making markets work to improve the consumption of nutritious and healthy food”

Poor-quality diets have become the number-one risk factor for ill health. The quality of people’s diets depends on food systems which shape the demand, availability, affordability, and desirability of safe, nutritious foods. By supporting the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), a Swiss foundation, SDC aims at enabling small and medium size businesses in low- and middle-income countries to become accountable producers of safe nutritious products for all - women, children and vulnerable people alike. It will leverage the Swiss experience in collaboration between public and private actors.


«Bai Alai» Small Business and Income Creation in Alai and Chon-Alai

Alai and Chon Alai are two of the poorest regions in Kyrgyzstan. The project aims at increasing economic inclusion of producing households through increased income and employment, with the focus on women and youth. During this exit phase (III) the project capitalizes and disseminates good practices in apiculture and cattle, and continues activities handicraft and tourism value chains, until phasing out in May 2024.


Fair and ethical recruitment of migrant workers

01.02.2022 - 31.12.2024

Approximately 105 million people are currently working outside their country of origin. Many of these migrant workers have profited from international labour recruitment intermediaries. Millions, however, have become victims of abusive and exploitative practices by unethical recruiters. Working together with different actors, SDC will support initiatives to ensure fair and ethical recruitment. Migrants and their families will be better protected and thereby better enabled to contribute to the development of their countries of origin and destination.


FfD Financing for Development 2022-2024

The United Nations (UN) estimate the financing gap for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at $2.5 trillion per year with an additional shortfall for 2020 of $1.7 trillion due to Covid-19. Financing for Development (FfD) is therefore a core issue for the UN. This credit proposal contributes to make the intergovernmental process of FfD more evidence-based, inclusive and participatory, with a focus on Switzerland’s priority themes: private sector engagement and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
