On 24 February 2022, Russia launched a military attack on Ukraine. Since then, the Swiss Confederation has been implementing measures in various fields to help people affected by the war. Switzerland and the European Union have substantively concluded the negotiations on the basis of the package approach. The Swiss delegation, led by chief negotiator Patric Franzen, had met the objectives set under the negotiating mandate of the Federal Council.
