The World Health Organization (WHO) celebrates its 75th anniversary. Speaking in front of world delegates on Sunday 21 May, the Swiss President highlighted the commitment of Switzerland for a global health and peace as well as a strong WHO with sufficient funding. The next day, Alain Berset opened the 19th World Meteorological Congress, the governing body of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), paying tribute to the work done by the Organization to reform itself and reiterated Switzerland's support to early warning systems against natural disasters.
