Information for Swiss travelers and residents in Indonesia and Timor-Leste
Due to the new COVID-19 restrictions set by the Government of Indonesia, further requirements such as vaccination card, certificate of negative RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen are essential for domestic and international travel. Information on entering Switzerland
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Depending on the type of travel, you might have to fill out an entry form, show proof of a negative test and/or go into quarantine.
The Embassy will accept Schengen visa applications type C (for a short-stay of less than 90 days) in urgent necessary cases only. Due to the emergency measures by the Indonesian government, the external service provider VFS Global is currently closed.
If you wish to apply for an urgent type C visa (please describe the urgency of your application) and kindly contact our visa section with the subject “Urgent” to schedule an appointment.
National visa type D can be issued. Kindly contact our visa section.
