The IFRC Limitless Youth Innovation Academy seeks to unlock the power and impact of youth-driven innovation at local level to address the impacts of climate and environment in humanitarian crises. A capability-building approach identifies and surfaces the brightest minds and change-makers of the IFRC network, supports them in testing and developing their ideas through seed funding, professional development and connects them over the globe in a network of peer support and learning.

Accountability for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda 2023-2026

The implementation of the 2030 Agenda is guided by a follow-up and review process that supports accountability for the Agenda at national, regional and global levels. With this contribution to a set of partners notably from civil society, Switzerland enables key stakeholders to take part in the review processes for more inclusive monitoring of progress in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda to leave no one behind.
Seed and Knowledge Initiative

This initiative will address food insecurity and environmental degradation by promoting crop diversification and environment-friendly approaches. It is implemented by a partnership of 15 community-based organizations and their regional partners. The emphasis of the final phase of Swiss funding is on advocacy and movement building, while expanding the number of smallholder farmers, including women and youth, who practice and spread agro-ecology and farmer-led seed systems.

Le conflit armé dans le Nord-Ouest et le Sud-Ouest (NOSO) a déjà fait plus de 4'000 morts et a déplacé plus de 715'000 personnes. La population civile est victime de violations graves et répétées du droit international humanitaire et des droits humains. Ce projet vise à réduire la violence et améliorer l’accès aux services de prise en charge des victimes.
Wajibika Tanzania Programme

Against the backdrop of an opening civic space in Tanzania, the Wajibika Programme intends to enhance the effectiveness of civil society actors and media organizations in engaging on issues of concern to the poor and most vulnerable, especially women and youth. The project seeks to develop innovative approaches that trigger the Government’s accountability and responsiveness to address structural challenges and ultimately improve public service delivery.
Safeguard Young People (SYP) - Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

The Safeguard Young People programme (SYP) reduces HIV infections and improves sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people aged 10 to 24. SYP supports the adoption, domestication and implementation of regional policies. It helps increase young people’s knowledge, skills and agency while also increasing equitable access to quality, integrated SRHR, HIV and gender based violence (GBV) services. SYP has been implemented by UNFPA since 2013.
Cooperation with the OECD on Economic Policy Frameworks for Sustainable Development

Governments in particular of developing countries must mobilise more and better private investment to finance and implement national policies in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The OECD, as a key institution in which global public policies related to investment and tax are discussed, is undertaking significant analytical work and advisory activity to support member and partner countries in attracting quality investment and enhancing domestic revenues.

Somalia: Strengthening State Institutions for better service delivery

The Multi-Partner-Fund (MPF) provided an umbrella to prepare the World Bank’s (WB) re-engagement in Somalia. It has become a powerful tool for donors to pool resources and enabled the WB to engage with Somali authorities to gradually advance reform implementation related to revenue and financial policy, as well as public financial management (PFM). Through this project, Switzerland supports the incremental strengthening of core state institutions in Somalia and contributes ultimately to stability and socio-economic recovery of the country.
Youth for Change

Switzerland contributes to the overall strategy of the youth organization Mozaik in its efforts to mobilize and empower young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Young people will develop their competences and mobilize their peers in youth-led community projects. Successful and motivated young people will be further supported in their entrepreneurial endeavors aiming at positive social impact and creation of decent jobs. They will serve as role models for other youth and lay the groundwork for social and economic change in their local communities.
Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium (SWSC)

The Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium includes 10 non-governmental organizations and contributes to improving the livelihoods of the most vulnerable communities in least developed countries in West and East Africa and Asia by increasing drinking water, sanitation and hygiene coverage in schools and health care facilities. It also contributes to triggering innovation and knowledge sharing between the Swiss NGOs as well as strengthening the Swiss profile in advocacy and policy.

Humanitarian and early recovery support to the floods in Kosovo

As a response to the severe flooding in 11 municipalities in Kosovo in January 2023, SDC supports the UN inter-agency appeal ‘Flood Response and Early Recovery Plan’ prepared by the UN Kosovo Team. The plan aims to directly target the humanitarian and early recovery needs of approximately 13’000 flood-affected people, including vulnerable groups.

Le Burkina Faso connaît depuis 2015 une dynamique de conflit qui s’intensifie, avec une dégradation continue de la sécurité et de la cohésion sociale. La Suisse agit sur les causes profondes de fragilité et de conflit, afin d’établir un cadre de paix et de stabilité indispensable au développement. Elle renforce l’efficacité dans le secteur paix, soutient les mécanismes endogènes de gestion des conflits et contribue aux capacités de monitoring des droits humains, en faisant appel à l’expertise suisse.
