Projet d’appui au dispositif national de formation aux métiers des finances publiques du Burkina (DISMEFIP)

Construisant sur les acquis de 15 ans d’appuis du SECO à la Direction Générale des Impôts, la DDC met en place un nouvel appui à l’Institut des Finances Publiques du Burkina (IFPB), focalisé sur la formation aux métiers des finances publiques. Quelques 1800 professionnels seront formés par année sur des thématiques clé (fiscalité, douanes, comptabilité publique, gestion financière, cadastre), créant les conditions pour des avancées durables une efficacité renforcée du Burkina Faso dans le domaine.

Enfants et Jeunes en mobilité en Afrique de TOuest et du Nord (EJM)

L’Afrique de l'Ouest et du Nord est un point de départ, de transit et de destination pour les personnes en mobilité, dont une proportion importante sont des enfants et des jeunes en situation de vulnérabilité, qui se trouvent confrontés à des risques de violence, d’exploitation et de discrimination. La Suisse soutient dans cinq pays, la protection, l’éducation, la formation et l’insertion des enfants et jeunes, avec pour objectif d’établir un socle pour une mobilité plus sûre (cadre normatif et institutionnel, capacités des acteurs), contribuant au développement de ces pays.

Mekong River Commission - Contribution to the basket fund for the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2026-2030

The Mekong River Basin is vital for millions, and mounting pressures require coordinated transboundary solutions. The Mekong River Commission, as the basin's treaty-based organization, leads this cooperation for sustainable and equitable water management. Drawing on its extensive experience in water diplomacy and integrated water management, Switzerland supports progress on the Basin Development Strategy and the MRC's goal of achieving financial sustainability by 2030.

Municipal Environmental Governance (MEG) Project

The project last phase will ensure consolidation of its previous results and support relevant institutions at different government levels in taking full responsibility for continuing the reforms in the areas of local governance and water sector beyond project duration. Local governments, particularly underdeveloped ones, will be supported in sustainably improving their performance and quality of water services for their citizens.

Fostering inclusive partnerships in the Western Balkans

The Western Balkans Fund, established by the governments of six Western Balkans countries, aims to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region. Through its ongoing contribution, Switzerland supports the Fund’s strengthened operations and institutional working modalities. The Fund fosters regional cultural cooperation, scientific exchange, and youth mobility, thereby deepening inter-regional ties and collaboration.

Madagascar, SET Tropical Cyclone Gezani

Madagascar is struggling with the impact of a series of tropical Cyclones to affect the country in a matter of weeks. Cyclone Fytia and Gezani wreaked havoc along the eastern and estern coast before moving inland, leaving at least 38 persons dead. On the evening of 11.02.26, the Malagasy government issued a request for international assistance, on 12.02.26, Switzerland submitted an offer of assistance focusing on WASH, CVA and other sectors depending on the needs.

Inclusion socio-économique et protection des enfants et adolescents au Maroc

En 2024, 1.5 millions de jeunes marocains n’étaient ni en formation, ni en emploi, exposés à des situations d’exploitation. La Suisse soutient l’UNICEF au niveau national et dans la région de l’Oriental, pour renforcer les capacités des acteurs institutionnels, associatifs et privés, et les mécanismes de qualité permettant d’améliorer l’accès des enfants et adolescents les plus vulnérables à des services intégrés de formation professionnelle, d’insertion socio-économique et de protection.

Unterstützung humanitäre Reformen

Die humanitäre Hilfe steht vor grundlegenden Reformen, um ihre Wirksamkeit und Effizienz angesichts wachsender Krisen zu sichern. Die Schweiz beteiligt sich aktiv an diesen internationalen Zukunftsdiskussionen und wird dabei als gestaltende Akteurin wahrgenommen. Gestützt auf ihre Rolle als Geberin und den Standort Genf trägt sie besondere Verantwortung für die Weiterentwicklung des Systems. Der vorliegende Beitrag zielt darauf ab, diese Position zu nutzen, um zentrale Zukunftsfragen der humanitären Hilfe mitzuprägen. Im Fokus stehen dabei Effizienz und Wirkung vor Ort, eine verbesserte Zusammenarbeit und Geberkoordination sowie die gezielte Einbindung lokaler Akteure.

ALB: Leave No One Behind

Albania continues to advance its social services and inclusion reforms, with growing emphasis on inclusive, locally delivered support for vulnerable and marginalized groups. The Leave No One Behind, LNOB, project concluding phase consolidates local partners’ capacities to sustain and use LNOB-supported systems, while advancing policy, financial, and operational frameworks for expanding social service delivery across the country.

Global Fund Core Contribution 2026-2028

Based in Geneva, the Global Fund is the largest multilateral provider of global health grants in low- and middle-income countries. It aims to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, and has saved 65 million lives since 2002, reducing the combined mortality of these three diseases by 61%. Amid global crises and severe cuts to global health funding, renewed international support is vital to protect these gains, foster innovation, and strengthen health security.

Improved Service Delivery for Citizens in Cambodia Phase II (ISD II)

With Swiss added value on democratic governance, the project will support local governments in Cambodia to become more responsive and accountable to their citizens. In four provinces, 18 local administrations will improve essential services such as water and waste management, public services administration and social accountability. By strengthening citizen participation, digital tools, and climate-smart planning, the project contributes to more transparent and efficient local governance.
