Therefore Universal Health Coverage, defined as all people receive the quality health services they need without enduring financial hardship, is a key target of the Sustainable Development Agenda. P4H is a global network of multilateral and bilateral partners who provide coherent support to low-/middle-income countries to build sustainable health financing and social protection systems for universal health coverage.

Programme Psychosocial dans la Région des Grands Lacs

Le programme contribue à la diminution des violences envers les femmes et à l’amélioration de leur statut au Burundi, Rwanda et République Démocratique du Congo. Elle mettra aussi l’accent sur le plaidoyer politique, la lutte contre l’impunité, la recherche et la gestion des savoirs.

Advancing Land Use Rights

Competition for land in Mozambique is sharply increasing. Despite favourable land legislation for the protection of interests and rights of the local communities the concretization of these rights is still precarious. SDC’s program supports the realization of these community rights to land and its benefits through institutional development, strengthening dialogue and practical collaboration between local government, civil society and private sector in order to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable development.

Capacity building for Serbian municipalities

Core Contribution for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), 2018 - 2020

SDC has been granting core contributions to IUCN since 1997. The new Core Contribution for the period 2018 – 2020 aims to highlight IUCN’s comparative advantage and development relevance. With this core contribution SDC contributes to the implementation of the IUCN Programme 2017-2020 and in particular to the integration of healthy and restored ecosystems into SDGs water (SDG 6), climate change (SDG13), environment (14/15) and food security (SDG2).
