La DDC appuie depuis longtemps des initiatives et des acteurs en Suisse engagés dans la sensibilisation et l'éducation au développement durable. Interaction est un acteur pertinent qui contribue à une meilleure compréhension, par la population suisse, en particulier les groupes liés à la mouvance évangélique, des enjeux liés au développement. A travers ses actions très concrètes qui responsabilisent le public-cible, Interaction participe à la conception d'un monde plus équitable et solidaire.

In February 2012, Switzerland signed a partnership agreement to join a network aimed at boosting global emergency preparedness. The network is called United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) and is run by the World Food Programme. By contributing to the network, Switzerland aims at enhancing its own preparedness and response capacity as well as of the international humanitarian community.

National Water Resources Management in Kyrgyzstan

Water resources management remains ineffective in the Kyrgyz Republic, but the Water Code based on of Integrated Water Resources Management principles and adopted in 2005, provides stewardship for improved water resources governance and management. However the government lacks technical capacity and financial resources to implement the code. The project will assist the country in strengthening and improving water resources management capability and irrigation service delivery for the benefit of water users by enforcement of the water code.

Cemento ecológico para los países que viven un boom de la construcción

La COSUDE promueve el desarrollo de un cemento ecológico. Para ello, apoya la labor de un equipo de colaboradores de Suiza, Cuba y la India que investigan y producen experimentalmente un nuevo tipo de cemento respetuoso con el medio ambiente denominado LC3. Gracias a una composición distinta a la del cemento tradicional, al fabricarse el LC3 se generan hasta un 30% menos de emisiones de CO2.

It aims to improve the quality of emergency cash transfer and voucher programming across the humanitarian sector and is dedicated to promoting good practice through learning.

Support to Sustainable Agriculture in Cuba

Food security is a priority of the Cuban authorities. Supporting a more productive and sustainable agriculture (economically and environmentally) is aligned with the objectives of the Cuban socio-economic reform. The project aims at supporting three organic value chains (honey, fruits and vegetables) in nine municipalities. It will demonstrate the role of organic production as a catalyst in local development and for the improvement in the quality of life of women and men.

Terre des hommes Suisse s’engage pour l’enfance et un développement solidaire. Son action se concentre sur les droits de l’enfant: lutte contre l’exploitation des enfants au travail, protection contre les violences, traite et vulnérabilité en situation de migration, droits à l’alimentation et à l’éducation. Pour un respect durable de ces droits, une stratégie centrée sur l’enfant, intégrantsa famille, est suivie. En Suisse, Tdh Suisse vise à sensibiliser les jeunes à la solidarité Nord-Sud.

Malgré la performance économique marocaine remarquable, les besoins des micros, petites et moyennes entreprises (MPME) agricoles ne sont pas encadrés adéquatement par les associations professionnelles (AP) et/ou par l’appui étatique. A travers un renforcement institutionnel des AP existantes et de réseautage, le projet les accompagne à améliorer les prestations envers leurs membres, afin d’augmenter la performance des MPME en terme de compétitivité, revenu et emploi.

Dam Safety Enhancement Program

In China, about 98’000 dams are dedicated to flood control, irrigation, water supply and hydropower production. The vast majority of these reservoirs are dedicated to flood protection, irrigation, and water supply. Many of the dams present hazardous safety conditions, with inadequate surveillance procedures. In view of a changing climate, the role of these dams will increase in importance. The Dam Safety Enhancement Program (DaSEP) supports the Chinese authorities in improving the dam safety management.
