Improvement of provided Services in the Charity house of Saint Elizabeth

The project aims at providing a dignified environment for seniors in the “Saint Elisabeth Charity House” by reconstructing rooms, common sanitary facilities and by the provision of a relaxation and stimulation garden for therapeutic activities. In addition, new personalized services will be introduced for the clients, which will lead to the provision of high quality social services.

Oral Health Prevention directed to small children

The programme is focused on education, promotion and prevention as regards oral health care directed to small children (0-5), their parents, carers and teachers. It also targets medical personnel dealing with small children – paediatrician, nurses and midwives. The overall goal is to reduce prevalence and incidence of dental caries in children aged 0-5 by promoting appropriate oral hygiene practices and good dietary habits counteracting harmful habits and practices.

Modernisation of road border crossing in the Podlaskie voivodeship (Połowce)

Poland has one of the longest Schengen external borders of the EU, measuring nearly 1200kilometres. An efficient, functional eastern Schengen border is not only important for Poland and the EU, but also for Switzerland’s security. That is why, as part of the enlargement contribution, Switzerland is investing in modern infrastructure that facilitates well-functioning customs clearance at strategically important border crossings on the Polish-Belarusian border. The project finances the construction of a new road border crossing in Połowce, adjusted to the national and EU-norms and regulations.

Revitalization of Vistula River oxbows

The project aims at regenerating and protecting of 15 oxbows where intervention is most needed, thus making an important contribution to the conservation of the most valuable habitats in the Upper Vistula River valley. At the same time, it will lead to enhanced knowledge and awareness of the natural value and importance of oxbows among local communities, local public authorities as well as tourists, which will contribute to preserve existing oxbows in the long term.

Access Agriculture: Video-mediated farmer-to-farmer learning for sustainable agriculture

Access Agriculture (AA) is a global initiative aiming at providing easy access to agricultural learning through training videos of quality. From the production to the dissemination, farmers and rural advisory service providers will be involved in the making of the agricultural films, made accessible through multiple media such as the internet, DVDs and radio. Strong partnerships with networks of farmers, advisory service providers and the agro-food industry are a cornerstone of this initiative.

Modernisation and addition to Senior Home, Bilovec

01.04.2012 - 30.04.2017

The project aims at providing a dignified environment for seniors in the “Home for senior citizens” in Bilovec by reconstructing 9 rooms, 3 common spaces and 12 sanitary facilities and by establishing 16 additional rooms. While qualified social workers will introduce modern methods of individualized work with residents, a new service (respite care) for 3 clients will be offered. Hence, social services of high quality will be provided to elderly people in need of assistance.
