The SWISSAID programme aims at empowering poor rural populations to improve their livelihoods by ecological farming, income generation, enhanced access to natural resources and the ability to influence policies (and their implementation) having a bearing on their lives. In countries where revenues from extraction of mineral resources are available, the programme aims at empowering civil society organisations to ensure transparency in revenue flows and their application for poverty reduction and sustainable development.

As one of the leading Product Development Partnerships (PDPs) worldwide, DNDi is acting in the public interest and to respond to patients’ needs to develop and provide access to treatments for neglected tropical diseases that primarily affect the poor and marginalised populations worldwide. DNDi’s business model is further characterized by empowerment of endemic country partners, international advocacy in support of a global framework for essential health, and delivery of health tools as public goods.

L’art et la culture sont des éléments indissociables de l’identité et du développement d’une société. Avec le soutien de la DDC, le Festival del Film Locarno permet chaque année à une sélection de cinéastes d’une région du Sud ou de l’Est de se former, de trouver des partenaires et des ressources pour leur projet de film, et de montrer leurs œuvres dans l’un des dix plus importants festivals de cinéma au monde. Le partenariat de la DDC avec le Festival contribue ainsi au renforcement et à la diffusion des cinématographies fragiles du Sud et de l’Est.

Unité engagiert sich für die Personelle Entwicklungszusammenarbeit als eine Form der internationalen Zusammenarbeit, bei der nicht Geld oder Technologie im Vordergrund stehen, sondern Begegnung, Austausch und gemeinsames Lernen zwischen Menschen im Norden und im Süden (wie auch im Osten). Daneben setzt sich Unité für die Sensibilisierung der Öffentlichkeit in Nord-Süd-Fragen und in Belangen der Personellen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit ein.

The SRC’s overall goal is to contribute to healthy and safe living for vulnerable groups and communities. Since access to quality health care services remains a key factor for good health, the SRC promotes both supply and demand side of local health systems. As healthy living also depends on the environment, SRC focuses on health determinants such as water, sanitation, nutrition and health literacy. Adressing risks and disasters, SRC programmes encompass disaster risk reduction measures and foster community resilience.

Organisation faitière qui regroupe une trentaine d’ONG, la FICD apporte un soutien financier et technique aux activités de ses organisations membres. Elle n’est pas elle-même porteuse de projets dans les pays du Sud. En tant que plateforme d’échange et promotrice de qualité, de réflexion et de pertinence, elle veut favoriser le décloisonnement et la capitalisation d’expériences entre celles-ci. Elle effectue en outre un travail de sensibilisation et d'information auprès du public, des écoles et des collectivités locales du canton de Jura, du Jura bernois et du district bilingue de Bienne.

The program of IAMANEH Switzerland addresses women and children in Western Africa and the Western Balkans in order to secure their access to quality primary health services, to grant safe motherhood and birth, to offer protection and safety from violence and health damaging practices and to allow informed choice with regard to family planning and prevention. Advocacy work contributes to the improvement of frame conditions for health and the securing of a sustainable health and social protection system in these regions.

In Uzbekistan, le zone rurali dispongono di poca acqua potabile e molti dei dieci milioni di abitanti del Paese soffrono di malattie provocate dal consumo di acqua inquinata. Un progetto finanziato dalla DSC mira a risolvere questi problemi, aiutando la popolazione ad affrontarli in maniera autonoma. Gli abitanti dei villaggi imparano infatti ad organizzarsi per garantire il proprio approvvigionamento idrico.
