The project aims at increasing the climate resilience of cities in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta by supporting a) the regulatory framework and b) organizational mechanisms for integrated regional planning, as well as c) the implementation of important flood resilience measures in selected cites of the Delta.
The Project represents phase III of the overall Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) Reform Program in Albania, which SECO has been supporting since 2011. To improve resilience of its cities, the government has identified key challenges it needs to address.
Updated cadastres are the basis for efficient land markets and local economic development. Cadastre systems also enable municipalities to increase local tax revenues and improve urban planning, what is crucial for resilience against natural disasters and other shocks.
This project strengthens developing countries’ tax policy and tax administration with a focus on international taxation. The project will be implemented by the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTPA) through the development and implementation of international standards- the provision of guidance and data- and capacity building.
