Integral Development of Urban Water and Sanitation Utilities Colombia, Phase I

Urban water and sanitation utilities in Colombia face problems regarding service quality and financial sustainability. The Program will support 10 utilities in assessing their performance through a standardized tool, and on this basis, formulate and implement measures to improve their performance and reach a better service quality.


Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership

The Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) is the leading multi-donor trust fund providing investment and technical assistance grants for sustainable energy and environmental projects in Ukraine and other countries (Armenia, Georgia, Moldova). SECO is making a contribution to the Ukrainian window.


Climate Technology Center and Network, Phase I

The ultimate goal of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) is to help developing countries achieve a low carbon and climate resilient development path through the accelerated deployment of climate technologies. The issue of technology transfer has been a cornerstone of the Climate Convention since its establishment in 1992.


Employability Social Impact Bond Colombia

SECO aims to provide better access to jobs for disadvantaged people in Colombia. It does so through setting up Social Impact Bonds in the area of employability. The program also contributes to build the necessary data and market environment for SIBs. 2020, it was adapted to address COVID-19 challenges. The learnings will be shared in and beyond CO.


Renewable Energy for District Heating Program

The program, which is co-financed with KfW, replaces fossil fuel fired boilers of the district heating systems of Serbian municipalities with boilers fired by biomass. Additional measures will be implemented to strengthen the management capacities of the involved district heating companies.


Regional Biotrade Project Southeast Asia

The "Regional Biotrade Project Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Lao PDR, and Myanmar)" proposes to tackle the opportunities and challenges in the three countries of the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot by following a country specific market demand oriented approach, along Biotrade value-chains following the ethical Biotrade principles.


Public Finance Management, National reform, Peru, Phase II

Between 2011 and 2016, SECO has provided bilateral support to the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance and to other PFM relevant institutions, which allowed important improvements through funding specific short and medium-term projects. The second phase of the program will consolidate these achievements.


International Monetary Fund, Revenue Mobilization Trust Fund

The Revenue Mobilization Trust Fund (RMTF) was established by the IMF to strengthen domestic revenue performance in developing countries. The Program, with an envelope of USD 60 million over a period of six years, is designed around six modules potentially constituting a multi-year revenue reform program.


Remittance Grant Facility Ghana

The Remittance Grant Facility will be set up with the Ministry of Finance of Ghana as a challenge fund. It will provide grants to private sector actors and support the design and pilot testing of innovative products and services for remittances.


Corporate Sustainability and Reporting for Competitive Business, Phase II

Phase II of the 'Corporate Sustainability and Reporting for Competitive Business' Programme (CSRCB) aims at promoting the integration of SMEs into global value chains by improving their sustainability reporting and performance. The programme is implemented by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and targets six developing countries.


Transparency and Innovation of Sustainability Standards (TISS) Phase I

TISS reaffirms SECO long-standing engagement in the field of private, voluntary sustainability standards for both niche and mainstream markets. It fosters the International Trade Centre in Geneva as the global host for transparent and credible information on sustainability standards and supports ISEAL, the overarching organization of private standards, in its Innovation Agenda aimed at increasing credibility, impact and efficiency of associated standards.
