Embassy of Switzerland in Libya
As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
The Embassy of Switzerland, in Tripoli, Libya, has been closed temporarily for reasons of security, effective 31 July 2014.

Visa application of residents in Libya may also be submitted upon appointment at the Visa Section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Tunis (inquiries / appointment: +216 71 192 030 – Monday – Friday 08:00am till 11:00am)
The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs advise against all travel to Libya.
Considering the extremely volatile security situation in the country, the FDFA also recommends that Swiss citizens leave the country temporarily by their own means, if this appears to be possible and safe.
